Coming Out of a Dream by larkzen Coming Out of a Dream by larkzen
I threw this together as quick as I could to try and capture the bizarre feeling I woke up with.

Right before I was woken up, I was having the most intense dream about something that doesn't make any sense now because I don't remember half of it, (I swear there was exploding kittens though) but the last thing that happened was I turned to look in a mirror, brushed the hair out of my eyes, and watched as my eyes bled out from a pale periwinkle greyish, to this intense gold color.

Everything else was hazy and indistinct except for those luminous gold eyes.

wow, this is beautiful. the pose, the intensity, the coloring. really well done. inspiration drawn works are always the best. ^_^ well put together, and the smoothness of the image is wonderful. love the slight peachish highlights on the white skin, lovely ornaments. :+fav:

Nothing else to say really. It kind of suits the music i'm listening to right now (Arkarna, "the future's overrated" - (good stuff!!!)). Anyhoo, keep up the amazing work, you're hell good!!!

I had to come back to say that each time I see this it strikes me how amazing the shading on the face is. It's really really white and soft, like in the glare of an intense light, but the shading makes the face seem SO solid, real. Not at all drawing-like. Probably combined with the snow/feathers/exploded cat (HAH!) so out-of-focus in the foreground.

OK, too much analysis. I like it.:) (Smile)

those eyes do stand out... but does that snow-like stuff have to do with the exploding cat?

This is such a dreamlike image, I'd say you got it. The over-bright white against the black, and those gold eyes... add in the falling... snow?... and it's straight out of a dream. Love it.:) (Smile)

I'd say you captured it. Very, very nice. It does have a creepy, surreal feel to it, and those eyes ... stunning.

Looks awsome...If you add some more detail to it it would be great...looks a bit blurry one the hand..
But i really like this..The expression in the face..The hand holding up the hair...Is he/she standing outside when its snowing or what?

Love it....

woah very nice... the colors are all very smooth and the white looks like snow... or a hell of allot of dandruff... the hand does not really fit with the picture though...
